About Megan Kelso

hand-crafted wallpaper design

Megan Kelso is an artist who creates patterns for interior textiles and wallpaper.

She hand-paints designs in delicate prints and joyful palettes, often creating floral and geometric patterns. She is most inspired by her love of natural botanical forms and the warmth and comfort of traditional folk textiles.

From Megan…

I truly love being in my studio, working to bring to life a vision of beautiful, warm homes filled with heirloom pieces. I find the daily practice of painting relaxing and meditative, and hope that the joy I experience when being creative is passed on to those who live with my pieces.

I try to create designs that are joyful and memorable. I take a lot of pride in creating the background of people’s lives. I believe that a beautiful room can ground people’s memories in a profound way.

My work reflects who I am, what I read, treasures I find at the thrift store, and what I see in the natural beauty I’m surrounded by here in Oregon. When I’m not painting or taking care of my three young children, I’m usually outside, willing a cottage garden to grow in the high desert.

Some of my past clients include Pottery Barn, Minted, The Everygirl, and Dartmouth College.
